Sandra Vaughn (born 28 October 1974) is a South African actress best known for playing Debbie Meyer in 7de Laan and Karlize Schoeman in Isidingo.
The Pretoria-born starred as Hannelie de Kock in the SABC2 police procedural television series Zero Tolerance in 2006. Her notable projects include Diepe Waters (2022) and Semi-Soet (2012).

Early Life
Sandra Vaughn was born on 28 October 1974 in Pretoria, the administrative capital of South Africa.
Education
Vaughn obtained a BA in drama (Cum Laude) from the University of Pretoria in 1995.
Career
Vaughn made her professional debut in PACT’s farce: Hoe Later Hoe Kwater in 1996. She has since appeared in many theatre productions, radio work, vocal work, and TV commercials.
She landed her first lead character in the TV film Swansong for Charlie in 2004. She played a “sweet” middle-class Afrikaans lass and as a Hollywood starlet, Debbie Meyer, in 7de Laan in 2005.
Vaughn started portraying Hannalie de Kock, one of the five elite crime fighters, in Zero Tolerance 3 in 2006. She has acted alongside notable stars including Ben Kruger, Nthati Moshesh, Meshack Mavuso, and Terrence Bridgett.
In 2006, Vaughn worked behind the scenes as assistant creative coordinator for “Laugh Out Loud II”. She has other television credits, including 25 Degrees South, Casper Rasper Show, Haak en Steek, Life is Wild, and Getroud Met Rugby.
Vaughn appeared as Karla Greyling in the 2025 romantic comedy film “Semi-Soeter“, a sequel to the hit 2012 movie Semi-Soet.
She is the 2015 Winner of SAFTA Golden Horn for Best Achievement in Scriptwriting, TV Drama (Geraamtes in die Kas). She was nominated for the 2023 SAFTA Golden Horn for Best Achievement in Scriptwriting – Telenovela (Diepe Waters).
Vaughn was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Film (Semi-Soeter) at the National Film & TV Awards South Africa in 2025.
Personal Life
Sandra Vaughn got married to actor Pierre van Pletzen in 1996. She has two step-children, Pierre-Henri and Zetske, from her husband’s previous marriage.
