Early Life

Bohang Moeko was born on 13 April 1988 in Protea North, Soweto, and grew up in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. His father is in construction. Since childhood, he wanted to be in the entertainment industry.

Education

Moeko attended Christian Brother College in Bloemfontein. After high school, he studied quantity surveying at the University of Free State, graduating with an honours degree. He also took acting lessons at the OCA Acting Studio.

Career

After graduating from school, Moeko left Bloemfontein and settled in Durban. He started working as a quantity surveyor. After working for two years, he quit and moved from Durban to Johannesburg, having signed with a Johannesburg-based agent.

He landed his first acting gig as Victor Ndou on Mzansi Magic soap opera Zabalaza in 2013. He portrayed Tau in the Mzansi Magic drama series Ring of Lies and Lebone on the drama series Is’Thunzi.

He entered the 2013 Mr South Africa competition and made it to the finals. He portrayed Treavor in the Mzansi Magic telenovela The Queen and Kabelo in the Mzansi Magic drama Housekeepers.

Moeko played Lefa Matabane on the SABC 3 soap opera Isidingo and Tshepo on the e.tv soap opera Scandal! He also has international television credits. He played Dr Musoke on the American mini-series The Hot Zone.

Moeko portrayed Lunga in the Netflix original feature film Seriously Single and Gabriel Ndlovu in the BET Africa telenovela Isono. He starred as Kagiso in the series How to Ruin Love.
