Felix Hlophe (born 9 November 1976) is a South African comedian, radio broadcaster, and businessman. He is best known for hosting the breakfast show The Uprising on Gagasi FM alongside Minnie Ntuli.
Hlophe performs in isiZulu as a stand-up comedian. He launched his hit reality series, Life With Felix, on Mzansi Magic in 2025. He headlined as a solo special at the Laugh Africa Comedy Festival in 2025.

Early Life
Felix Hlophe was born on 9 November 1976 in Umlazi, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. He grew up in KwaZulu-Natal, and his family is from Eswatini. His parents have passed on.
He has four siblings, including his three sisters, including Nozipho Hlophe, and a brother.
Career
Hlophe performs primarily in isiZulu. He headlined a solo special at the Laugh Africa Comedy Festival in 2025. He also launched his reality show, “Life with Felix,” on Mzansi Magic. He covers topics related to relationships, sex, HIV/AIDS, and cheating.
He has been working at Gagasi FM for over 11 years and previously held a show on VUMA 103 FM. He has also bagged stand-up gigs, including 99% Zulu Comedy and the Hallelujah Comedy Show at The Playhouse.
Hlophe performed two solo shows – ‘I Hate My Wife’ and ‘Bad Teacher’ -on one night in Pietermaritzburg. His comedy specials, ‘The Main Side Chick’ and ‘I Hate My Wife’, are rooted in his marriage to his wife.
Felix co-hosted the New Year’s Crossover Show with Minnie Ntuli on New Year’s Eve, transitioning listeners from 2024 to 2025.
Hlophe is the host of the breakfast show The Uprising. He was placed on a two-week leave to attend to personal matters and is expected to return on air on 19 January 2026. He was dramatically pulled off air and stripped of his coveted New Year’s Eve crossover show.
Shortly after being pulled off air by Gagasi FM, Hlophe issued a heartfelt apology to his loved ones and fans. This followed the circulation of a viral video showing him in a heated argument with his wife, Tracy Hlophe, in 2025.
Personal Life
Felix Hlophe married Tracy Smith-Hlophe in 2018. They have two children together, Nala and Amile Hlophe. He also has four children outside his marriage. He dated Tracy for two years before they got married.
In November 2024, Hlophe and his wife had an intimate umembeso and umkhehlo ceremony in Pietermaritzburg. He married his second wife, Ayanda Bhengu, in 2025. He initiated traditional lobola negotiations, which have been formalized.
Hlophe and Bhengu had faced a turbulent period that led to their breakup in 2024, after he accused Bhengu of infidelity.
