LaConco (born 16 October 1991) is a South African TV presenter, podcaster, and businesswoman. She is best known for being a former cast member on “The Real Housewives of Durban”.
The reality television star is the founder of the brands LaConco Apparel and LaConco Naturals. She has diversified her presenting portfolio, appearing on “Our Perfect Wedding”, “Forever Thina”, and “Ingane Yam”.

Early Life
Nonkanyiso Conco was born on 16 October 1991, in a shack near Palm Ridge, Johannesburg. She was raised by her mother, and she sold snacks and sweets to earn extra money at her school. Her family is from Matatiele, Eastern Cape.
Education
LaConco went to Haythorne Secondary School in Pietermaritzburg. She later studied journalism at Varsity College in Durban North.
Career
After completing her studies, LaConco worked as an intern at a Zulu-language newspaper in Durban and was already a full-time journalist by June 2015.
LaConco later moved into television, becoming a well-known presenter. She has hosted shows like “Our Perfect Wedding” on Vuma FM and “Forever Thina” on Mzansi Magic.
She scooped the coveted and public-voted Best TV Presenter at the 18th annual SA Film and Television Awards (Saftas) in 2024 for her presenting work on Mzansi Magic’s Forever Thina.
She is also recognized for her appearances as a cast member on season 2 of “The Real Housewives of Durban” and its spin-off, “Ultimate Girls Trip.” She hosted the second season of the Mzansi Magic reality series “Ingane Yam”.
Aside from television, LaConco is a successful businesswoman. In July 2020, she launched her own beauty and personal care brand, LaConco Naturals. She later expanded into fashion with LaConco Apparel, which is sold at Edgars Sandton City, and she also supports other local designers. She is also the sole director of a company, GN Massages.
As a teenager, LaConco joined the Nomkhubulwane Culture and Youth Development Organisation, which advocates for cultural practices like virginity testing. She also participated in the traditional Zulu reed dance.
She also founded her own community organization, Sikhanyisa iSizwe, which aims to empower young people.
Personal Life
LaConco started a relationship with former President Jacob Zuma in March 2016, when she was still a virgin. After paying her lobola, Zuma gave her a diamond engagement ring. They share a 50-year age difference.
She welcomed her son, Sakhaumuzi Zuma, in April 2018, via cesarean section at Busamed Hillcrest Hospital in Durban, where Jacob Zuma visited her.
Although they are separated, LaConco has maintained a good relationship with Zuma. She sent him a warm birthday message in April 2023.
She has been open about her body transformation journey since 2022. In September 2024, she revealed that she was having liposuction for my stomach because she was still dealing with a lot of excess skin.
LaConco had her 34th birthday celebration in October 2025.
