Lunathi Mampofu (born 7 March 1987) is a South African actor best known for starring as Zikhona in the SABC1 drama series Ingozi.
Award-winning actor Mampofu also played the competitive Emma on The River. She has appeared in other series, including The Queen, Kings of Joburg, and Fatal Seduction.

Early Life
Lunathi Mampofu was born on 7 March 1987 in the Eastern Cape to Nosabata and Patrick Mampofu.
Her father is a pastor, so she grew up in church and performed always. She took part in music competitions and theatre shows as a young child. She also performed at schools, which drew the attention of the media.
Education
Mampofu attended Victoria Girls’ High School, where she began doing theatre and music. She traveled to Europe with the school choir. She studied live performance at the South African School of Motion Picture, Television, and Live Performance (also known as AFDA).
After she graduated from AFDA in 2010, Mampofu studied performing arts at the New York Film Academy, graduating in 2013.
Career
Mampofu began acting during her first year at AFDA, Cape Town. She landed a role in a feature called Mercy. She has appeared in films such as Umthandazo, Rising Light, and Little Blue Line.
In 2010, she landed her first international gig, the movie The Good Man, shot in South Africa and Ireland. While in Los Angeles, she worked as an assistant at the Gersh Agency, a casting agency.
On her return to South Africa, she portrayed a spiritualist in an episode of the Mzansi Magic drama series Isikizi (Season 1, Episode 9) in 2016. She landed her first starring role in television as Zikhona in the SABC1 drama series Ingozi.
Mampofu joined the Mzansi Magic drama series, Unmarried, as Claudia Dunn in 2020. She has also appeared in theatre productions, such as Almost Maine, Look Before You Leap, and Remember to Remember the Memorial. She played Emma in the drama series The River.
Lunathi has also appeared in commercials for top brands including Discovery Insure, Kotex, and Glen Tea. She has also worked as a casting director at Scout’s Honour in Seapoint, Cape Town.
She has also scored television gigs on e.tv (South Africa Ambition), and Grit for BET Africa.
Personal Life
Lunathi Mampofu was previously dating singer Dylan Lloyd. The duo met at a restaurant and were together for two years. They separated due to their busy schedules, which affected their love life. She has a daughter, Sky, whom she gave birth to in America.
She started dating film director Bohlale Makgolane, best known as Bo Maq in the film industry. The couple met through mutual friends.
Her siblings, Oros and Prince, are also in the entertainment industry. They have launched their own company called Khela Production.
