Nadia Valvekens (born 5 March 1982) is a South African actress best known for co-presenting the SABC2 reality show Die Nutsman (2003). She also played Nicole Kannemeyer on the SABC2 soap opera 7de Laan.
Valvekens has starred as Pippa Venter on the kykNET soap opera Binnelanders since its first season, which premiered in 2005. She later played Else in Egoli: Place of Gold, Suzaan le Roux in The Estate, and Sanet Swarts in Diepe Waters.

Early Life
Nadia Valvekens was born on 5 March 1982 in Pretoria, South Africa. She grew up with her mother, Cecile, in Centurion, after she (her mother) separated from her father. She has a younger sister, Natasha.
She was very involved in drama and already had plans to pursue an acting career.
Education
Valvekens attended Wierda Park Laërskool and matriculated at Eldoraigne Hoërskool. She holds a BA in drama from Technikon Pretoria. While in school, she performed in stage productions, including Maid in the New South Africa for Clive Morris.
Career
Her first job in the industry was as a co-presenter of the SABC2 DIY programme Die Nutsman, alongside Riaan Venter. She later landed a small role as a temp secretary in Egoli.
Valvekens played cameo roles in many local productions before appearing as jewellery designer Nicole Kannemeyer in SABC2 soap opera 7de Laan in November 2004.
In 2005, she completed her role in Egoli and appeared in minor shows, including e.tv’s Scandal!, M-Net’s Song vir Katryn, and kykNET’s Villa Rosa. She also appeared in the 2002 short films Daddy and The Road.
Still in 2005, Valvekens started portraying Pippa Venter, the orthopaedic nurse at the Binneland Clinic, in the M-Net soap opera Binnelanders.
In September 2007, she reprised the role of Pippa in a theatre production, Binnelanders Buiteweste, based on Binnelanders, at the Aardklop Kunstefees in Potchefstroom.
Personal Life
Nadia Valvekens is married to Englishman André Okes, a mechanical engineer.
The wedding was held among beautiful herb gardens and buildings reminiscent of scenes from the Italian countryside and was witnessed by about 60 friends and family members.
She had dated Karl Thaning, who played the charming plastic surgeon Dr. Nathan Richards in Binneland Sub Judice. They met at Binnelanders, where they both worked. They had become a couple six months after she broke up with her lover of ten years.
Valvekens had met her ex-boyfriend in her matric year in Pretoria. Although she also never felt like she wanted to marry him. So she waited for him to end the relationship, but since he didn’t, she told him it was over on the night of their anniversary.
