Rorisang Thandekiso (born 9 August 1989) is a South African actress, singer, presenter, and content creator. She is best known for hosting the Saturday radio show, “The Lift,” on Metro FM, which airs on Saturdays and Sundays.
Thandekiso has appeared in many television shows, including Mzansi Insider, Mi Kasi Su Kasi, Mzansi Love, and Sticks and Stones.

Early Life
Rorisang Thandekiso was born on 9 August 1989 in Bloemfontein, the capital of Free State province, South Africa. She grew up with her mother in Vaal Triangle, Johannesburg.
She has a brother, Ntlafatso, and a sister, Bokang. Growing up, she always wanted to be a hairdresser, a hair salon owner, and a world-renowned supermodel like Naomi Campbell.
Thandekiso later developed an interest in the entertainment industry. However, her interest shifted to public speaking and debating towards the end of her primary school years.
Education
Thandekiso studied at Riverside High School in 2008. She received the Young Communicator of the Year Award from Anglo-American and the Sowetan newspaper at the beginning of her Matric year.
In 2009, she enrolled to study international relations at the University of Pretoria under a scholarship from PRASA.
Career

Thandekiso made it on the selection to represent the country (South Africa) at the Global Young Leaders Summit in the USA. She performed exceptionally and came out third out of 400 global participants.
Rorisang got her first radio break at Touch Central, which later became Touch HD online. At Touch Central, she cut her teeth in the industry.
In 2008, Seventeen Magazine named her “Next Big Thing”, after which she became a kid presenter for the SABC1 television program YoTV. She was also the lead vocalist of the MuzArt band.
Rorisang co-hosts the SABC 1 show Mzansi Insider, a fresh weekend breakfast show that explores Mzansi’s Pop Culture from a youth perspective. She also hosts her Saturday radio show, The Lift, on Metro FM every Saturday and Sunday.
Aside from being a television show host, Rorisang is a content producer and musician. She was a lead vocalist for the band MuzArt. She recorded the Amapiano song Lerato featuring DJ Sumbody during the lockdown.
Rori has appeared in many television productions, including Mzansi Insider, #Karektas, Mi Kasi Su Kasi, Mzansi Love, Sticks and Stones, uBettina Wethu, and Eish! Saan.
She is also known for the Jesus this, Jesus that event, which advocates for a Christ-like life. She released her memoir, Disciple: Walking with God , in 2024. She shared her personal life experiences to inspire and guide others.
Personal Life
Rorisang Thandekiso is currently single. She was rumored to be in a relationship with the 2013 Idols winner, Musa. Different people claimed to have seen them together, looking very cozy on several occasions. She denied that they were together, saying they were just friends.
In 2017, she revealed that she was in a relationship with someone who is not in the industry. She does not have a child and is a virgin. She decided to be a virgin until marriage at the age of 12 and chose celibacy at 14.
She and her oldest sister, Bokang, battled with Covid-19 in 2020. On 14 December 2024, Rori was rushed to the hospital after the Jesus This, Jesus That tour at Constitution Hill in Braamfontein.
Rorisang has been in and out of the hospital since 2019, when she had six surgeries and two in 2022. She was diagnosed with endometriosis, cysts, fibroids, and chronic illness. She has also had a knee injury.
