Zee Nxumalo (born Zandile Nxumalo; 6 January 2003) is a Swazi-South African singer-songwriter and rapper best known for her single Funk 55, released in 2023.
In 2018, she began by covering Mlindo the Vocalist’s song Amablesser, which garnered over 150,000 views in its first month. She has released her debut EP, KwaNxumalo, as well as other tracks, including Ngisakuthanda.

Early Life
Zandile Nxumalo was born on 6 January 2003 in ESwatini and grew up in the Alexandra township in Johannesburg. She was a high school rapper in Johannesburg in her early years.
Education
Zee Nxumalo holds a Law degree from the University of Johannesburg.
Career
In 2018, Zee did a cover of Mlindo the Vocalist’s song Amablesser, which went viral, reaching over 150,000 views in its first month. She followed up with her debut EP, KwaNxumalo, in June 2022. It features six songs, including the first track, Ekhoneni
She has featured seasoned artists such as Kabza De Small, TBO, 031Choppa, Shakes & Les, Mashudu, and Josiah De Disciple. She has also collaborated with heavyweights such as Azana and Mlindo, the vocalist of her single, Pholile.
Nxumalo released the single “Funk55”, featuring DBN Gogo and Shakes & Les in December 2023. Her music status has further earned her more collaborations with heavy-hitters like Pabi Cooper, Tyler ICU, Dlala Thukzin, and more.
She bagged her first international feature with Romanian artists Raluka and millforlife on her latest single, In & Out.
Amapiano sensation Zee Nxumalo has earned four Basadi in Music Award nominations. Her single Mamma featuring Sykes & Skills, recorded over 3 million views on YouTube within a month of its release.
Her hit song, Thula Mabota, which featured musician Pabi Cooper, reached over five million streams in two months after its release in March 2024.
